Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest
Did you know that Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts died of breast
cancer?
In honor of Juliette Low’s birthday month, we will introduce girls to the topic of breast
cancer. Girls will learn the facts of the disease, about local organizations that help fight
the disease and how to take action. They will also learn how to do a self-examination.
This is based on the In the Pink IP patch. Girls will work on a project to help the lives
of those suffering from breast cancer.
Special Instructions:
Snacks, activities and goodie bags will be provided at the event.
